33. DNA makes a good molecule for storing information because ____________. A.its bases can be joined together in any order, like the letters of the alphabet can be strung to form different words B.each nucleotide within a DNA strand can give a cell different information, and there are many nucleotides in every cell C.it can absorb ultraviolet light, so DNA can help protect cells from the damaging effects of this form of radiation D.it is a type of nucleic acid, and most acids are an important part of information storage within cells

@whpalmer4 @wio help? biology

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

Ill be back in 10mins...I have an essay to finish.

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

back

OpenStudy (somy):

what do you think? can you give your opinion?

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

well 34 should be the first one

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

id really know the other ones

OpenStudy (somy):

yep if i remember correctly you are right about 34th

OpenStudy (somy):

think of 33 what do you think? don't look at options, just say what do YOU think

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

idk..but Im starting to think 31 is is A...

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

14...D polygenic

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

right?

OpenStudy (somy):

Yep regarding 31 i think A too since its RrYY so RY & rY

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

Yeah... That's what I thought. going with A

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

ok 14 is D. positive

OpenStudy (somy):

yep you seem to know them good :D

OpenStudy (somy):

i can't really remember these as i've learnt them in highschool and now im in med school lol but q 33 is so ridiculous, even to me as to a med student the options make no sense <.<

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

haha...I need two more...Im gonna post them again if you dont mind

OpenStudy (somy):

yeah i'll try to help if i do remember them :)

OpenStudy (somy):

ah yeah for 33 its A im telling the answer coz -its ridiculous the way its put basically saying in DNA strand we have nucleotide bases and 3 of bases on the strand make up an amino acid the bases are Adenine, Guanine, Thymine, Cytosine they are usually written in letter code like A, G, T, C so 3 of these make an amino acid and different combinations of these bases make different amino acids and so as you know gene is made up of the 'tripled codes'/codons and these codons are ones 'having info' kinda i hope it makes sense?

OpenStudy (romantic_ch3micals):

I posted them in open questions. I closed this one.
