PLEASE HELP MEE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hans is a software salesman. His base salary is $2500, and he makes an additional $110 for every copy of English is Fun he sells.Let P represent his total pay (in dollars), and let N represent the number of copies of English is Fun he sells. Write an equation relating P to N . Then use this equation to find his total pay if he sells 22 copies of English is Fun.

@rocklionmba

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

well you have a lot of questions today :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahhaa yeah school tomorrow sorry hahhah

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

hold on, openstudy is being a ----- lately, but lets get started.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hhaha okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rocklionmba hey can you help?

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

yes hold on

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

the base line is 2500, so nothing will change that. that's going to be added.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

and he earns an extra 110 per book, so that will be 110x where x= # of books sold

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

so then the formula is...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Haichi please help me

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

ok. so we know that 2500 is going to be added. so that's ?+2500=P

OpenStudy (haichi):

4920=2500+110*22

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

and his other source of income, the books, is 110x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand what will the equation be?

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

so that's 110x+2500=P

OpenStudy (haichi):

p=4920

OpenStudy (haichi):

N=22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there is no "N" in the equation??

OpenStudy (haichi):

N is 22

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

n =x

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

I just decided to use x instead of n because I like it better

OpenStudy (haichi):

xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the equation that yopu created is 110x +2500=P ?

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

yes

OpenStudy (haichi):

110(22) +2500=4920

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

because he sold a total of 22 books which is our x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the number of books sold is 4920?? @rocklionmba

OpenStudy (haichi):

No thats the total money he made

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

he sold 22 books and he made 4920

OpenStudy (haichi):

4920=Total money made

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

*happy voice* yaay! teamwork!

OpenStudy (haichi):

*Hi5ves Rocklionmba*

OpenStudy (rocklionmba):

*hi5s back*
