help me with geometry please?
The coordinate grid below shows triangle STU and its image after translation, triangle S'T'U':
Welcome to OpenStudy! What is the question? Do you need to find the translation rule (I think that is what it is called)?
the the right by 11 and up by 3, all you have to do to find this is follow where point U' goes to become point U
@trindawg so is (x,y) (x + 11, y - 3)
for some reason instead of y + 3 they only have that
are you sure its not x-11, y-3?
Hmmmmm...... that is odd, they should have y+3 if it goes up 3, let me check really quick.
Actually, she did the translation of S'T'U' to STU instead of STU to S'T'U.
ah
oh ok i got it. Sorry i didn't read it correctly
Please apy this traslation to your triangle STU: \[X=x-11, \quad Y=y+3\] where X and Y are the new coordinates
oops...please apply...
Can anyone help me with some more problems?
To solve this, pick one point then see how far it goes to the left and down. Hint: both numbers will be -
I'm sorry I have made an error, yopur traslation is: \[X=x-11, \quad Y=y-3\]
Yes, we can help with more, just open a new question for each one please :)
oh okay ty
i will close this then :D
