I've got an economics problem... about maximization In the early 1980's, when Polish people had to stand in long lines in order to purchase most consumer goods, the government ordered that every third place in line be reserved for pregnant women. This is presumably done to reduce their discomfort. What do you think happened to the number of pregnant women standing in line? Also, what do you think happened to the number of pregnant people in Poland?
