Occasionally a bill will come to the president for a signature or veto. Imagine that the president does not want the bill to become law but also doesn't want to veto it for political reasons. Which of the following would be the best course of action for the president? Sign the bill into law late on Friday evening and hope nobody notices. If Congress is not in session, do nothing and wait ten days. Veto the bill and provide a list of changes to be made. If Congress is still in session, do nothing and wait ten days.
