Giving medal to best answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bill is building an enclosure with recycled cardboard for his collection of model cars. His design is as shown. Bill needs a total length of 120 inches of cardboard for his project. What is the length of side BC in inches? (5 points) 36 40 88 32

OpenStudy (jchick):

Hang on a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u prove it?

OpenStudy (igreen):

The two models are similar.. Bill's project is 4 times bigger than his design.. so we just have to multiply KL by 4 and we get our answer..but first we have to find the measure of side KL..did you already find it?

OpenStudy (igreen):

@jchick Don't give answers, plus your answer is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i have not found it yet.

OpenStudy (jchick):

Ok well sorry i had worked it out before because I had this question and my teacher marked it correct

OpenStudy (igreen):

It's easy to find it..it pretty much tells you..just add 6 + 2..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 8

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, now multiply it by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36

OpenStudy (igreen):

Check again

OpenStudy (igreen):

Multiply 8 * 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, so that's your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o thanks :D
