An architect planned to construct two similar stone pyramid structures in a park. The figure below shows the front view of the pyramids in her plan but there is an error in the dimensions. Which of the following changes should she make to the dimensions to correct her error? Divide all of these: 7.5 / 5 6 / 4 9.5 / 7 Tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay give me a second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.5

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, that's what you get for 7.5

OpenStudy (igreen):

get for 7.5 / 5 and 6 / 4*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (igreen):

Nothing..just divide the last one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.357

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes..so we know that there's something wrong with 9.5 / 7..because it doesn't equal 1.5 like the rest.. So we can set up the equation: \(\dfrac{x}{7} = 1.5\) Can you solve that for 'x'? Just multiply 7 to both sides..what's 7 * 1.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

???

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, we have to change RQ to 10.5..so 10.5 / 7 = 1.5.
