Find the perimeter of the image below:

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

32.1 units 35. 8 units 37.6 units 39.2 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, the perimeter is adding all the sides up....

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Yes...

OpenStudy (igreen):

You have to find the distance between all the sides using the distance formula..then add them up. \(d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2}\) Plug in the points, find the distances, add them up.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Let's start with Point A and Point B. \(d = \sqrt{(-4-2)^2 + (5-0)^2}\) Point B and Point C: \(d = \sqrt{(4+4)^2 + (10-5)^2}\) Point C and Point D: \(d = \sqrt{(8-4)^2 + (7-10)^2}\) Point D and Point E: \(d = \sqrt{(4-8)^2 + (5-7)^2}\) Point E and Point A: \(d = \sqrt{(2-4)^2 + (0-5)^2}\) Solve all of these then add them all up.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Can you do that? @ZnappyDooZ
