15 is the total cost, 10% of 15 is the tip. Total cost + tip = solution.
@shelbydancer 15 + 15(10%) = the answer Because you have the price of the cut, plus the tip (which is 10% of the price of the cut) The word "of" means multiply in math language.
percentages are out of 100, so 10%=.1. You need to multiply 15 by .1 to find out how much the tip was.
