What does the slope of a Force of Friction vs Weight graph represent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[F=\mu \times N \] \[W=m \times g.\] \[\frac{ F }{ W }=\frac{ \mu N }{ mg}\] let's assume that there is no additional forces just gravity and friction in equilibrium. so N = mg cos theta coefficient of friction = tan theta. thus F/w=sin theta.

@Catch.me what does the sin theta represent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

coundnt you also say F/w = mu cos theta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theta is the angle of inclination. |dw:1421719021179:dw|
