OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the absolute maximum value of the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to start you will need to take the derivative of the piece wise function and see where the function equals 0

Miracrown (miracrown):

We can plot the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and what do we get?

Miracrown (miracrown):

Can you try plotting the graph?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

That doesn't need calculus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's for sure do it with your eyeballs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ummm are you two saying the same thing ? lol im lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kingMAN They are saying that you can see where the function is min/max without calculus. But I think your instructor probably wants you to use calculus to analyze the function. It just depends

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't it

Miracrown (miracrown):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can you tell by looking at it
