I NEED HELP!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify (sqrt y + sqrt 2)(sqrt y - 7 sqrt 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (agentjamesbond007):

Use FOIL to multiply. Keep in mind that like terms under √ signs multiplied together become the value beneath the radical, so √y(√y) = y. (y + √(2y) + 7(2) + 7√(2y)) (y + 14 + 8√(2y))

???

OpenStudy (freckles):

(A+B)(c+d) A(c+d)+B(c+d) distribute property twice Ac+Ad+Bc+Bd so yours would be like; \[(\sqrt{y}+\sqrt{2})(\sqrt{y}-7 \sqrt{2}) \\ \sqrt{y}(\sqrt{y}-7 \sqrt{2})+\sqrt{2}(\sqrt{y}-7 \sqrt{2})\] distribute and use the whole \[\sqrt{y} \sqrt{y}=y \text{ mentioned above }\]

thx you guys! DO you tink you could help me with one more?
