OpenStudy (phebe):

you sure its 154 an now 158?

OpenStudy (phebe):

not*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

158? ? that's not done yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

154 do both skiing and snowboarding

OpenStudy (phebe):

okay thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for all your help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there will be an overlapped between the given skiers and the people who do both.. lol i haven't said the answer yet, I'm still explaining? O.o unless you solved it already?

OpenStudy (phebe):

lolzzzz ohhhh i thought u gave me the answer my bad hahah lolzzzzzzzzz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha, i'm not gonna do that ;) [cont ] "there will be an overlapped between the given skiers and the people who do both.." that's why I subtracted 196 to 154, therefore you'll have 42 skiers who don't do snowboarding.. since the total people is 200, that would be equal to # of people who do both (154), # of people who only do skiing (b=42) and #number of people who only do snowboarding (c).. you are looking for the #number of people who only do snowboarding (c). 200=154+42+ c solve for c and that would be your answer :)

OpenStudy (phebe):

200=154+42+ c so just solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah.. wait do you understand what I just explained or it's like "blah blah blah" to you? xD

OpenStudy (phebe):

LOL noo like i understand ima just do the equation okay an tell me iof i got the answer right ight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, good to know :)

OpenStudy (phebe):

is the answer C=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, therefore..there are only 4 of people who do snowboarding

OpenStudy (phebe):

OKAY!!!! thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem as long as you understand (:

OpenStudy (phebe):

okay :)
