In what way was Marcus Garvey's approach to civil rights more radical than others? Garvey called for African Americans to start a revolution. Garvey's followers used lynchings to intimidate their opposition. Garvey believed African Americans should form a separate society. Garvey believed there would be thousands of deaths before equality was achieved.
