Please Help me Medal/Fan Matt looks at the architectural plan of a four-walled room in which the walls meet each other at right angles. The length of one wall in the plan is 19 inches. The length of the diagonal of the floor of the room in the plan is approximately 20.62 inches. Is the room in the shape of a square? Explain how you determined your answer. Show all your work.

Determine if X is also 19 using 20.62^2 = 19^2 + x^2
oh am I suppose to use the Pythagorean Theorem?
right, they tell you the diagonal (hypotenuse) length, and one of the wall (leg) lengths. Calculate the other leg and check if it is also 19 or not.
Its not 19 its 64.1844 according to my calculator
\[x=\sqrt{20.62^2-19^2} = \sqrt{64.18}\approx8\]
The room is not square. It is roughly 19 by 8
So its not a square?
Oh ok thank you for your help
