Why were the Puritans disappointed in King James I? A. He had luxurious habits and didn't simplify the elaborate church ceremonies the church of England had. B. He was a Puritan. C. He didn't spend enough money on himself and the Church of England.

A. King James stuck to the more traditional (somewhat Catholic) approach to church. The Puritans believed in the latter.
