I need help on my last question on The Literature of Africa any one taken this yet? plz help I will give a medal
I had a unit on The Literature of Africa for my English class. What English class are you taking? I think I might be able to help you.
i have English 10 with mrs.whipple
I'm taking English 10 also. By chance do you go to Connections Academy? I have a different teacher than you, but I think we are taking the same class.
yes i do
Your on the unit test for that class right?
yeah
i just don't understand the last question
Which question don't you understand?
24 its the essay one for 20 points
you have to choose 2 of the 3 essay prompts and answer them with complete sentences
When you said you were working on the question and you had 3 prompts to choose from and you had to answer 2 of the prompts. Are these the 3 prompts your choosing from? In both "Marriage Is a Private Affair" and "A Meeting in the Dark," young men fret that their fathers will disapprove of their potential wives. Compare these two stories by looking at how the personalities of the young men and their fathers help to shape the eventual outcomes. Examine how white people and black people regard each other in "No Witchcraft for Sale," "The Moment Before the Gun Went Off," and "The Prisoner Who Wore Glasses." How do they help to teach and support each other, and how do they fail? Think about what each group is trying to protect and when it withholds something from the other. A theme that runs through the poems in this unit is that a sense of pride is important to a sense of selfworth. What do you think is the connection between this theme and Africa's history of colonial rule? Support your view with details from at least two of the selections you have read.
yes
So which 2 prompts are you doing?
i choose 1 and 2
Which prompt don't you understand?
both really because i don't really know how to answer them
i kind of want to get a 30/40 on this
or a 35/40
Well I'm going to tell you that I already did this test. I actually did really well on the entire test. 70/71 on the entire test so getting a 35/40 for the written section, or even higher is possible. I had to choose between prompt 1 and 2. Then prompt 3 was required for me. So I did prompt 1 and 3. Not prompt 1 and 2. I can help you with prompt 1, but I didn't do prompt 2. If you want to do prompt 1 and 2. I know for a fact I can help with prompt 1. (Prompt 1 is actually the easiest prompt out of all 3 of them.) If you want to do prompt 2 over prompt 3, I can still try to help you, but I'll leave it up to you.
