first of all are you allow to use graphing calculator or no? if yes you can do as above by press (math) button --> then, move down and press ( logBASE(__)--->then insert 7 for the BASE and insert 124 for the blank(__).

if not allow you can do this way:---> Change of BASE formula: \[\log_{n}m= \frac{ \log_{b}m }{ \log_{b}n }\]

\[\log_{7}124=\frac{ \log_{10}124 }{ \log_{10}7 } or basically \log_{7}124=\frac{ \log124 }{ \log7 }\] which equals 2.477134706 or x=2.477134706
