If a cell has 40 chromosomes in its diploid cells, how many will it have in its gametes? In its body cells? In its eggs or sperm? In its kidney or liver cells?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kalleyycx Gametes are made via meiosis and have half the chromosomes as the mother cell. All cells that are not gametes (sperm and egg) are somatic cells and only undergo mitosis.

So the gametes have 20. But Im still confused about the other ones.
