I think we do: \(4x + 1 = x + 13\) Can you solve that for 'x'?
X-4x=3x 1-13=12 12/4=3 (3)

Yeah..you did.
4x - x = 3x 13 - 1 = 12 This is correct..and it gives us: 3x = 12 So we divide 3 to both sides, not 4. What do you get?
