I think you used the underscore key where the dash or negative key should be used. Just guessing on that.

The problem in words is negative the absolute value of negative 13.The absolute value is the number value, it doesn't matter if there is a negative in the between the lines so the answer would be -13.
If so, absolute value is an operation and not a grouping symbol.
