If a civilization was built on a peninsula (a piece of land that is surround on three sides by water), which of the following would not be a possible result of a hurricane in that area? The land that connects the peninsula to the country might wash away and prevent those people from being able to travel. The people would most likely have to leave their civilization and find a new place to live. The civilization would become an arid desert with no water sources. The people might learn new technologies and trades like boat building so that they could travel from their homes.
