how would you know how many medals it takes to get to your next ss?
@Abhisar @sleepyjess @King.Void.
@dan815
@undeadknight26
@chosenmatt
it cannot be known
There is some tricky way @TheSmartOne knows more about it.
I suggest you ask @TheSmartOne . As stated above, he knows it. There is actually a post that was made of this similar question. You'll have to go \(\huge\leftarrow\) there and scroll down\(\huge\downarrow\).
You don't, it just motivates you that much more to get to the next one. Also, 65-67 is really tough, so just keep helping people :)
*65-75
#mysteryofos
No one knows..... Only that Mysterious User... known as........ @TheSmartOne (AKA) TheScaryone....
Yes I do know. But I was thinking of making a post for it but hen I realized users can use it to know how much they need to spam themselves for example to reach a particular SS..
Also there are others who know. I am not the only one... lol
Eh I tell you though. So whatever you have done so far. Do it again and you will be at least with like a 79SS
little bar? There is no such "little" bar. lol
No it doesn't lol. Also it would be very difficult to tell because it is in increments of 5...
O_O
What are you talking about?
The "bar" if you see in your screenshot it has 55 then 60 then 65 then 70 and so on.
I know that. TheMysteriousOne
how does smartone knows it?? according to thomaster: "the exact formula is a secret"
~source: from my very old post
Umm @data_lg2 Matter of fact Thomaster taught me.. :P lol
hmm... interesting :D
@shifuyanli Wo juede ni zhi shou "nihao" nahou dele liang kuai jinpai zhende bu gongping.
do you know why only satellite can have 100 SS? just curious...
@data_lg2 I guess because there can only be 1 #1. No one will remember the #2 :P
lol i thought it has something to do with the "magic formula" xD
tbh there is no magic formula. Its more like a scale. You get points for doing certain actions :D
and the scale is relative
@TheSmartOne teach me
how do i Tell!
From about 45-100 medals.
what?
It depends. I won't tell you why or how it depends.
I already figured it out @confluxepic
But don't worry about getting medals.
Just help people.
And guide them to the answer.
I won't I think I figured it out though :)
\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @TheSmartOne Eh I tell you though. So whatever you have done so far. Do it again and you will be at least with like a 79SS \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Basically do twice as much as before. It gets even harder after that.
no that's not the formula
I think I know it a little because it is all about the bar
Its too complicated to figure it out unless you are @thomaster
@TheSmartOne knows
I know. @shifuyanli
You’ll notice in the new profile pages there is a graph to display the progress of your SmartScore for the past few weeks. This represents your overall SmartScore which is currently comprised of your scores in the three categories we’ve decided to focus upon (for now): Teamwork - Which focuses upon your willingness and aptitude to communicate and interact with others in group settings, very small groups like those that are formed within a question and large groups like all users studying mathematics. You interact in chat, but your actions within questions -- asking, answering, helping, guiding are considered more heavily as they are core the principles of the site Problem Solving - The ability to identify a situation/question to which you are willing to exert your own effort to construct a coherent, thoughtful, and respectfully toned solution to the benefit of another and even yourself. Engagement - which focuses primarily upon the actions and effort you exert in your own questions that you have asked because you want to learn a new concept and your willingness to interact with people who are helping you. You’re surely wondering what each variable actually means in the category boxes. Below are the descriptions. Keep in mind, these are not all the variables that we are analyzing. There’s a lot more to the score, and we’ll keep you informed about the progress.
No you don't It is complicated like Conflux said. I would have told you but umm checking your history I rather not.
what do you mean @TheSmartOne please tell me I promise!
I would have told all of OS but then I know, some users will use that to game the system to increase their SS because they know what is most important on this scale.
whether you know or you don't know the formula, it will not make any difference, you still have to work hard to raise it up :)
What @Data_LG2 said :D
please @TheSmartOne I just am curious
I have only told a few people who I trust not to cheat. So the answer is no. Also if you rather want I can tell you how much you need to increase :P But as I said if you do whatever you have done so far one more time you will reach 79SS. So lets say you have currently x amount of points. So at x amount of points you have 69 SS. But if you get 2x amount of points in all, then you will have 79SS. And if you get 4x amount of points you get 99SS.
You don't.
I think only the old tech guys know the formula.
@sleepyhead314 I speak mandarin :D
ni hao, ni jiao shen me ming zi ?
ni jiao sleepyhead314
hi hao wo de mingzhi shi ya lik e se @Conqueror
@Conqueror I speak mandarin!

i just want to get 70 xD
@Demonx341 wanna help each other?
with?
wo bu zhidao
getting to 70 ss
:P i want x4 points plz!
or at least 1 point!
same.
I help you
okay let's go I'll tag you
:) with my history?
interesting...
anbd there can only be 1 100 ss because of its all done on ranking... 100 means number 1 rank on openstudy
^^^^
that also means the more members there are on openstudy who are at 99, means the longer it takes to get to 99
theve given subtle hints on post scattered throughout time and posts... if you go through all mods awnsered and asked questions eventually you get enough info to figure out the info if you put it all togetehr :P
Well, it is a relative system, so there is no exact number. However, the user base has grown to the point where the relative system is seen some predictable averaging.
^ And as we get more members the scales numbers slowly increase :)
yea... its possible for your ss to even go down at times! but thats only ifyour iniactive for a long time or suddenlyy 3 million people join os in a few minutes XD
man i cant type with this new keyboard at all..
Well Jay, at least you can blame a new keyboard... I make mistakes all the time for no reason. =P
lol
Also your SS goes down with every warning and suspension :P
And people wonder why I refuse to do user requested suspensions...
WELL NO WONDER I DONT HAVE 80 SS! i have 50+ warnings for posting latex were it shoudlnt be ;(
