Find an ordered pair (x,y) that is a solution to the equation. 4x-y=8
is the equation 4x - y = 8?
@Directrix @ElonaSushchik @ganeshie8 @jjuden @KamiBug @LiamR @samanthagreer
yes
Most likely, and if not, v would still be y. Just like if there were to different letters. @LiamR
Er, I meant to say variables, not letters.
True, I assumed so. Just making sure they corresponded to the ordered pair.
Are you given answers to chose from? Because there are many solutions.
@AlexandervonHumboldt2
can you re-write the equation so it reads y= ?x +? then choose any value of x, and use your new equation to calculate y that is your answer to the question write the equation as I suggested - I will help you i9f needed after that...
so for eample (2, 0) or (3, 4)
y=4x-8 when x=0 y=-8 so (0,-8)
@AlexandervonHumboldt2 Your replies nearly ALWAYS include a direct answer. This merely shows that YOU can do the question and does not help the OP. I have asked you before to stop - I will report you each time you do it in future. It is against the CoC of this site.
listen i perfectly giuded today 6 askers and recieved in each question at least 2 medal adn one tiem 3
As I said - your replies are often a straight answer (as above) with no guidance. Maybe you are smart - but this site is intended to help users to DO STUFF THEMSELVES. Of course you get medals - people want answers - but it doesn't help them LEARN
The OP got 2 direct answers from you, and 1 from @AJ01 there is no input form the OP who is now offline having got the answer, typed it into his book and GONE with no more understanding of what to do than he had before You do the users a DISSERVICE by giving the m th e answer
