What is the slope of AC? What is the slope of BC? What do these slopes indicate about angle C? A= (1,3) B= (8,2) C= (2,1) I think the slope of AC is -2 and the slope of BC is -1/-6 but I do not understand what they mean when they ask what the slopes indicate about angle C. Am I supposed to find if the angle is obtuse, right, or acute? If so, how do I do that using the information of the slopes? I am very confused! Please help!!! Thank you!!!!
slope of AC is -2 (slope angle approx 63 degree) http://www.hackmath.net/en/calculator/line-slope?x0=1&y0=3&x1=2&y1=1&submit=Solve slope of BC is 1/6 (slope angle approx -170 degree) http://www.hackmath.net/en/calculator/line-slope?x0=8&y0=2&x1=2&y1=1&submit=Solve angle C is obtuse; approx 170-63 = 107 deg. triangle ABC see picture: http://www.triangle-calculator.com/?what=vc&a=1&a1=3&3dd=3D&a2=&b=8&b1=2&b2=&c=2&c1=1&c2=&submit=Solve&3d=0
