if you move them you will just add and subtract.. look 40/5 + 5x(2^2-1) 8+ 5x( 4-1) 8+5x(3) 8+ 15x if you put the parentheses in the middle look... now lets just make it easier.. 8+ (5x+4) -1 8+ 5x + 4 -1 <-- since they are not like terms you can't add them 11+5x now the at the first two
