What was the outcome of the Dred Scott case? A. The Court ruled that blacks were only citizens if they lived in Northern states or territories. B. The Court did not rule because it did not recognize the right of a black man to sue. C. The Court ruled blacks could not be considered citizens and reversed part of the Missouri Compromise. D. The Court gave Dred Scott his freedom and upheld the constitutionality of the Missouri Compromise. I THINK A OR C GIVING MEDALS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

alright so there were some free states and some slave states (balanced remember the Missouri compromise) and it was said that when a slave steeped foot in the the free slaves they would be free. Dred Scott's owner travelled a lot and once took Dred Scott with him into a free state (therefore he should have been free) but the court didn't allow him to call a trial because slaves were considered property.

OpenStudy (demonchild99):

i think it was c
