Dante's Divine Comedy was written in Italian. Why was the important? A. Only highly educated people could read Latin, so something written in Italian meant that average people could read it. B. Only highly educated people could read Italian, which was the target audience. C. Everything was written in Italian so it was not very significant. D. Dante did not speak Italian, so this has always been a historical mystery

I would say that the answer is C because Dante was Italian and was born in Florence, Italy; so writing this piece like he did would be insignificant because he was writing in his native tongue. I could be wrong but I really think it is C
