write a linear equation that is parallel to the line whose equation is y=2x-7? I know that a parallel represents the same slope... So wouldn't the answer remain as a 2?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

elaborate, what do you mean that the answer would remain as a 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We're suppose to use the slope and change it (or possibly leave it I believe). So if it were a perpendicular example and the slope was 3/4, then it would be -4/3, since perpendicular means to find the negative reciprocal slope

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, you would leave the slope the same.
