5x-2y=-24 -4y=-48-10x

It seems those cannot be solved because they are the same equation (one is twice the size of the other).

the final answer i got was -24=-24 the equations lead to a true statement but have infinte number of solutions

correct and if they have an infinite number of solutions then they cannot be solved
