OpenStudy (znappydooz):

The image below shows two dilated figures with lines IJ and KL drawn. If the smaller figure is dilated using a scale factor of 2, what relationship do lines IJ and KL have? Would this relationship hold true for all dilations?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

@iGreen, can you help me here?

OpenStudy (igreen):

IJ and KL will still be parallel

OpenStudy (igreen):

And that is true for all dilations..the slope will stay the same.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

So should I write that?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Something similar to that.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

"Points IJ and KL will still be parallel even after the smaller figure is dilated." I think I should add a bit more, any ideas?

OpenStudy (igreen):

This will be true for all dilations.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

"Points IJ and KL will still be parallel even after the smaller figure is dilated. This is also true for the other dilations."

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, looks good to me.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Alright, thnx so much! I'll brb. I might tag u in another question in about 10 mins :P Thnx so much though! :D

OpenStudy (igreen):
