Can someone give me some information about antecedent.I will become a fan and give you a medal.I promise I will
An antecedent is a thing or event that existed before or logically precedes another.
Is that what you mean?
yes but idk how to identify them in a sentence
Oh okay well one sec :)
The antecedent is the noun in a sentence to which a pronoun refers. The noun comes before the pronoun (ante - before), so that the reader knows to what/whom the pronoun is referring: Jack left his jacket on the bus. Jack - antecedent his - refers to Jack (whose jacket). Without the antecedent, the reader wouldn't know whose jacket it is. We found his jacket.
