Compare the graphs of the inverse variations. Provide 3 comparisons. y= -0.2/x and y=-0.3/x
let me see if i understood, you want to compare y=-0.2/x with y=-0.3/x ?
Yes @M4thM1nd
if we set the limit of x to the infinity, both functions goes to zero. if we set the limit of x to 0 from right to left it tends to -infinity, if x tend to 0 from left to right it tends to +infinity
Ok, well you can see that: y = -0.2/x = -2/10x, and y = -0.3/x = -3/10x Right? So we can see that the second one decreases faster than the first one
Quick question would -1/x be a parent function of the two? @M4thM1nd
Yes sure, we can say a family function in the form \(f(x) = \frac{a}{x}\), where \(a \in R\).
