Which ordered pair is a solution of the equation 5x+y=-3 A.(-3,-4) B.(-5,-3) C.(-4,-3) D.(-3,-5)

Nnesha (nnesha):

first replace x by 0 and then solve for y after that replace y by 0 and solve for x

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

substitue (x, y0 coordinates into equaitons

Nnesha (nnesha):

and another way to do this replace x and y by order pair and see if you get both side equal then that is your ansawer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kind of suck at math so i dont get it

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

like i said

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes i just saw that find solution x=0 and y = 0 we used this to find y and x intercept

Nnesha (nnesha):

for example first one |dw:1422062263278:dw| now solve left side if you get both side equal then that is your answer
