In this sentence, what is the antecedent of the pronoun it? A. Carla B. house C. her D. work

OpenStudy (tjbrew):

Which sentence?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no sentence.

OpenStudy (tjbrew):

Exactly...drakon needs to add the sentence that goes with the choices. ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Technically, I can only see the antecedent being either B or D. Sentence would help c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is D without the sentence. But the sentence would be nice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I went ahead and searched for this question and came up with: Although it was old and needed a lot of work, Carla knew this was the house for her.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So from the sentence what is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it would be B then. Replacing the "it" with "the house" makes sense.
