OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, so, percents are always out of 100. Circles always have 180 degrees. So we need to solve \(\sf\dfrac{22}{100}=\dfrac{x}{180}\)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Are you familiar with cross multiplying?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, so what do you get once you cross multiply?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Love the testimonial by the way, thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the farthest i can get is 8 without going over the limit.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and no problem you deserve it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

22*8=176

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but 22*9=198

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how can i go to 180 without going over the limit

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, it looks like you aren't understanding fully, which is perfectly fine :) Just cross multiply 22*180 and 100*x, then I will explain how to get under 180.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Hmmm... the answer I am coming up with is not an option.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

22*180=3960 100*x=18000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i agree

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

18000????

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

It should just be 100x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o i thought i should time it by 180 cause thats what i did with 22

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Wait, where are you getting 22*8 from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright a 100% would be nice but this is just complicated af getting 1 question wrong isnt that bad.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Oh, nevermind

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, so now we have 3960/100x, simplified, 39.6/x, which would be equal to x = 39.6, but that isn't an option
