calc! volume question!

OpenStudy (wade123):

@mathslover @DanJS help!

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think it is \[\int_0^1 \pi(sin(e^x))^2 dx\]

OpenStudy (loser66):

https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ov8skhlb9k

OpenStudy (loser66):

hence, the radius is just y = sin (e^x) and by formula we have V = int (A )dx which is pi sin^2(e^x) dx as shown.

OpenStudy (wade123):

i got 2.498

OpenStudy (wade123):

for the volume

OpenStudy (loser66):

I don't know, just give the answer, you calculate.

OpenStudy (wade123):

ok..

OpenStudy (wade123):

@jim_thompson5910 do you know this?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry I'm stumped on the integral Loser66 wrote out. It looks correct, but idk how to evaluate that exactly.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

although, I think you go from 0 to ln(pi)

OpenStudy (wade123):

okayy

OpenStudy (wade123):

@DanJS do you know how to? hahah

OpenStudy (danjs):

i just put the integral into the calculator, and got about 2.5 , not sure how to go about integrating

OpenStudy (wade123):

its fine, thank you for trying though(:
