C has to do with surface tension and repulsion especially in bodies and containers. D is referencing the same thing which does not relate to the original question. A states that water has 'high density and it normally is used as a baseline average for density (water would be considered medium) so B seems to the answer by elimination although water does indeed have a very high specific heat
