Which best explains why the United States' economy prospered more than European economies after World War I? Americans were the most productive workforce in the world and had financial incentives to work long hours. There was widespread corruption among European business leaders after the war, but not among most American business leaders. European, but not American, roads, buildings, railroads, and populations had to recover from the war's destruction. American technology and manufacturing methods were far superior to those in Europe.
