(-7x^2+8x-1)/(3x^5-9x^47x^3+1x^2-7x-4) My question is how would you divide the first monomials so.. -7x^2 and 3^5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would i do (1/3x^3 ) times -7x^2

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm what are you supposed to do with \(\bf \cfrac{-7x^2+8x-1}{3x^5-9x^47x^3+1x^2-7x-4} ?\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i meant the opposite 3x^5-9x^4.... by -7x^2...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and it's -9x^4+7x^3 forgot the plus
