Some one please check my work!

1 is correct 2 is false, you cannot have a negative number withing a root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 is false it should be D On number 4 I cant see all the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 is correct 6 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 is false it should be D 8 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you soooooooooooooooooo much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with 9 I'm not sure if I agree with the graphs it's none of them in my view

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm strange I'll skip number 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It I would choose B if I were you not C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B makes the most sence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 is correct 11 is false it should be A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you want to know why they are false I can explain if you care about that :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure thing, that would be great!

2 is false, because you cannot have a negative number within a square root. Because if you think about it, try to find 2 the same numbers that multiply each other and become negative. Its not possible 2 negative numbers multiplied will become positive, 2 positive numbers multiplied with each other is also positive.

3 you can use algebra to reform the formula, however you can do it the easy way by saying x=1 and y=1 and filling them into the first equation see what the outcome is, then fill in all the other given answer equations also x=1 and y=1 and the equation that will give you the same answer ans the given equation, that will be your anwser.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 you can also just fill in the given asnwer numbers into the equation and see which one is correct. You said -3, if you put in -3 into the equation you get -3=sqrt(--3+6) -> -3=sqrt(9) -3=3, so not possible. Only possible answer is 2

I dont agree with the graph on number 9 but I could be ignorant. however B is the most logical because when x=5 you get 5-5 =0 and sqrt of 0 is 0, then you substract -1 from it so your answer is -1 when x=5 if you look on the graphs, only B has a y value of -1 at a x value of 5 and the continuation is logical because its a root, so the function is increasing when x is increasing however not exponentialy because of the root.
