What is the equation of the graph? (its in attachment) f(x) = − |x| + 2 f(x) = − |x| − 2 f(x) = − |x + 2| f(x) = − |x − 2|

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmm, what are your thoughts about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its B @amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmm, B is not correct, but i think i see why you could have picked it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when x=0, y = -2 all but A satisfy this. now, when x=say -4, we are at -2: using B we would get: -|-4|-2 = -6 as a test

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the graph is a modified version of |x|, -|x| at best. now we shift to the left by 2, not up and down. y = -|x+h| = 0 when x=-2, so h=2 is what i see it as
