Which function has the greatest starting value? A. x y 1 1 2 3 3 5 B. y = −7x – 8 C. 5x + 15y = −30 D. http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1523000_1523500/1523243/2/4b506aec51e70f39def35dcb7fad2eb186fbadfa/MS_IMC-1400831-161108.jpg

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

A, D start from lowest values in fact D starts from very very low values and goes up so you need to look at B and C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is B right? @xapproachesinfinity just making sure

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

here you need to do a little comparison btw the two lines \[y=-7x-8\\ y=\frac{-1~~}{3}x-2\] seems that -1/3 > -7 so c would be above b try graphing them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh I see it now

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

oh you got the right answer! b would be c not the other way around sorry i meant to say it this way
