Complete the equation for the linear function whose graph contains the points (−1, −2) and (3, 10). y +____ =____(x + 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So far i got y + 2= 2.75(x + 1 ) but the 2.75 don't fit in the box on the test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m=\frac{ y_{2}-y_{1} }{ x_{2}-x_{1} }\] \[m=\frac{ 10-(-2) }{ 3-(-1) }\] \[m=\frac{ 10+2 }{ 3+1 }\] \[m=\frac{ 12 }{ 4 }=3\]

slope=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOH, sorry i didn't know put the 2 by the 10 i put 10 - (-1)
