A sign maker is painting a white border on the outside of a sign for an ice cream shop. The sign is made of a semi-circle and an isosceles triangle, as shown in the diagram below. Note: Figure not drawn to scale What will be the length of the border? C = 2r or d 50 inches 19 + 12 inches 38 + 6 inches 44 inches

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

So you need to find the circumference of the semi circle by doing this: \((\frac {1} {2} ) (2 \pi r)\) or just \(\pi r\)

OpenStudy (bohotness):

o.o

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

After you find that, just add that to (19*2)

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

what? lol it's easy!

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Why does it say C=2r and not \(C=2 \pi r\)?

OpenStudy (bohotness):

;-; i hate math

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

:O how could you????

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

brb oh btw its just 19*2+6.....simplify that and there ya go
