What happens when an object is dropped? A. Its velocity at 2 seconds is 9.8 m/s. B. Its velocity at 2 seconds is 20 km/h. C. Its velocity at 2 seconds is 19.6 m/s. D. Its velocity at 2 seconds is 22 mph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All things fall at a constant acceleration rate of (9.8m/s2) no matter the size/ weight so in 2 seconds the object will have a velocity of 19.6 m/s So i think A

i think ur right

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Acceleration due to gravity is \(\sf 9.8 m/s^2\) that means velocity of object increases with 9.8 metres per second. When an object is dropped its velocity is 0 m/s at t= 0 second. Then it becomes 9.8 at t= 1 sec and finally ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Option A is incorrect btw.
