Solve the system of equations. 2x+3y=1 y=3x+15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Directrix can you help

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

I can help ^.^ So, by any chance do you have any idea at all how to start?

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Yes, No, Maybe?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you start

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

That's fine! That's what I'm here for cx So They give us what y is in this equation: y=3x+15

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

So what we would do is plug that into the first equation and solve for x.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Like This: 2x + 3y = 1 y = 3x + 15 So we plug it in: 2x + 3(3x + 15) = 1

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Can you solve that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya give me a second

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

kk You get what I'm saying, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Ok, good, Glad im not confusing u cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 90 is that right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k hold on sorry

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

It's fine ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -4,3

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Yes, Great Job! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help with more? and thank you

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Yw! And Unfortunately I can't, I have an essay to do :o Sorry xc

OpenStudy (anonymous):
