If I drop a feather and a penny which one hit the ground first , and why thank you
Penny drops faster due to the higher force of gravity. Fg ( force of gravity)= (9.8)x(weight/mass)
penny has a larger mass, so more force of gravity. Therefore, it drops faster than feather.
If air resistance is gone. Both penny and feather will drop at the same time.
@korosh23 's last statement is the correct one. Both will hit the ground and fall at the exact same rate (with no air resistance). If air resistance is considered the penny will fall faster, not because gravity is making it do so, but because the frictional force acting on the feather is much greater. Regardless of air resistance or no air resistance, both objects are accelerated at the exact same rate by gravity. It's just a question of a drag force being present. The drag force has nothing to do with gravity.
both would fall at same time.
