So lets start off with the first equation: \[x - y = -11 \]add y to both sides: \[x = -11 + y \]Now that we have x, we plug that into the other equation: \[y + 7 = -2(-11 + y) \]And you solve that for y Same for the second one: \[x - y = - 9 \]Add y to both sides: \[x = -9 + y \]Now plug into first equation: \[y = 3(-9+y)-1\]And solve for y
All you have to do is solve both equations for y, and you have the answers. I have to go now, I hope you understand! c:
