After Twenty Years:

The officer didn't arrest him because he was his long lost friend, and he didn't want to arrest him because he felt sorry for him. He was also waiting on his best friend that he hasn't saw in years, so that put a lot of pressure on the officer

Intro:

The story After Twenty years is about two best-friends that made an agreement to meet up in the same diner in twenty years and what happened in this story isn't what either of them expected to happen. I think the author was trying to say be there for your friends even though you haven't seen them in a while
